How much is shipping?
If you live in the United States and choose USPS Priority Mail as your shipping method during checkout, you will be charged a flat $9.95 no matter how many items are in your order. If you live outside of the United States or need expedited shipping via UPS, the shipping cost for each item is listed directly below the description for each item.

Can you declare my purchase as a "Gift" or reduce the value on the customs form?
We are required by federal law to mark your order as merchandise and declare the actual price you paid as the value.

Do I have to pay import duties, taxes and brokerage fees?
Orders shipped outside of the USA may be subject to import duties and taxes. We will, however, only charge you for the purchase price, shipping and handling for your order. Any additional charges incurred when receiving your package must be paid for by you.

Can I pick up my items in person?
Chinese Brass Hardware is a mail order business and we do not have a store or showroom. However, we do offer customers the option of picking up an order purchased online to reduce shipping costs. To arrange for pickup, please place your order online or by phone at 1-888-988-5189 and arrange a time to pick up your order at our warehouse in Alhambra, California. Warehouse hours by appointment only - we do not guarantee that the warehouse will be open if you come by without calling first.

When will my order ship?
Orders ship within 1-2 business days from the time of your order payment. Business days are Monday through Friday not including holidays.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Please use this formula to determine when your order will arrive:

Shipping time All products ship 1 to 2 business days after your order is placed. Tracking information, when available, can be accessed on the USPS Websites (www.usps.com) within 24 hours of shipment.

How can I track my order?
You will receive a "Shipping Notification" email once your order is shipped. This email will contain a tracking number which can be used to track your package.

Do I have to pay sales tax?
State laws require us to collect sales tax from residents who live in states where we have established offices. Yellow Mountain Import's main office and distribution center is in California; we are therefore required to collect sales taxes for goods and services on orders shipped to locations in the state of California. Charges for merchandise, gift wrapping and shipping and handling are taxed at 9%.

What is your return policy?
At Chinese Brass Hardware, we are committed to customer satisfaction. If you find our merchandise defective in any way, or if you’re disappointed with the quality or fit, return it within 30 days in the condition in which it was received for refund.

Return Guidelines
  • Returns will be accepted within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • We cannot accept returned hardware that has been installed and then uninstalled.
  • All items must be unused or in like-new condition. Items that are not are will be subject to a 30% restocking fee at our discretion.
  • Returned merchandise is subject to inspection before issuing a refund. Once product condition is determined we will issue a refund.
  • Items damaged in transit that were shipped with an uninsured method cannot be refunded.

  • Please note: shipping charges on non-defective returns are not refundable.

Please contact us via the Contact Us page with your name, email, order number and reason for return and we will reply to you within one business day on how to proceeed.

For your security, when sending your return on your own, we strongly advise that you insure and track your package. We are not responsible for packages lost in transit.

Once we receive your item, you can expect a refund within 1-2 business days. Credit will be applied to the form of payment used for the original purchase.
